Just a short scenic drive south, FORT MATANZAS was the southern outpost to St. Augustine. Here there is an elevated nature trail, picnic area and a free boat ride across the river to the allow exploring of the fort itself.
OLD ST. AUGUSTINE VILLAGE stretches over one city block downtown. Hidden among beautiful courtyards are nine historic houses original to the site.
Originally the 300 room Alcazar Hotel, LIGHTNER MUSEUM was built by Henry Flagler in 1888. Now it contains art, porcelain, Tiffany glass, 19th century musical instruments, furniture and antiques.
The WORLD GOLF HALL OF FAME is the ultimate destination for the celebration and recognition of golf's greatest players and contributors. There is restaurants, shopping, accomodations and an IMAX theatre all within short walking distance.
